Blood Loss

May 2014

You wake up in a strange labyrinth with a large bleeding wound on your goat-like arm. On the verge of death and having no way to stop the bleeding, your only option is to try and escape the seemingly endless labyrinths. You must collect keys in order to unlock portals that will take you one step closer to freedom. However, you must watch you bleeding arm. Scavenged bandages and blood packs will help prolong your life, but if left open, your wound will leave a blood trail the may attract unruly monsters. Armed with only a bright jar of fireflies, you have no weapons to fight the lurking monsters. You will have to outwit the monsters by leading them on to trap floors or by rearranging the labyrinth walls around you. You must get as far as you can before your bleeding arm causes you to run out of blood.

This game was developed in a month by a team of four as an industry project at BCIT. My role included programming the shaders to incorporate normal mapping and point lighting, as well as programming and loading the 3D art assets into the game.
